Laser selected for skin and hair

Laser hair reduction planned for your skin—not a generic setting

Laser hair reduction works by targeting pigment in the hair follicle during active growth. Skin tone, hair colour and thickness, body area, hormonal factors, sun exposure and device settings all affect the plan and the response.

The central ideaLaser hair reduction works by targeting pigment in the hair follicle during active growth. Skin tone, hair colour and thickness, body area, hormonal factors, sun exposure and device settings all affect the plan and the response.

Reduction is a course, not an instant removal

Only a proportion of hairs are in the most responsive growth phase at one time. Sessions are spaced to treat new cycles. The face, underarms, bikini area, legs and back can behave differently.

Why the consultation matters

Recent tanning, medications, active skin disease, pregnancy, a history of pigment change and the cause of excessive hair growth may alter timing or settings. Very light, grey or red hair may respond poorly to pigment-targeting lasers.

Aftercare and realistic outcomes

Temporary redness or follicular swelling can occur. Sun protection and area-specific instructions matter. Long-term reduction is the goal; maintenance may be needed and complete permanent removal cannot be promised.

Frequently asked questions

01How many laser sessions will I need?

The number varies by area, hair, skin, hormones and response. A course is usually required.

02Is laser hair removal painless?

Comfort varies. Cooling and in-motion techniques can improve tolerability, but no treatment should be promised as sensation-free for everyone.

03Can I do laser after tanning?

Recent sun or tanning can increase risk and may require postponement or a different plan.
